Welcome Message

Hello everyone, I am David Rose, the author of this blog and the owner of the entity Restoration In Peace. I am a 100% VA disabled Vietnam War Veteran Combat Trauma Medic. Following my third retirement in 2013, I became an advocate for Vietnam War Veterans. You can view my veteran projects here: http://fvhofsociety.org/rose.html

I recently experienced the impression to start restoring the headstones of Vietnam War KIA warriors. It has been more than 50 years now since these brothers have been buried and some of the graves are in bad shape. I'm on a mission to restore as many Vietnam Veteran graves in my area of Tennessee as I can.

In researching this project, cleaning materials and restoration procedures online, I learned that there are already many individuals and entire movements in operation today. I am extremely pleased to see this. Thank you to all who are already restoring veteran graves. I have learned from you and I will be joining you with my own entity.

I have full support from my city, Athens, Tennessee who owns three of the cemeteries in my area. Yesterday I walked one of the cemeteries for the first time and learned that I have lots of work to do. I am including two pictures of the first two graves that I will be restoring. There will be many more to follow.

This is a great honor for me to be able to give back in this manner. Our countries warriors deserve the best. I am still saddling up for this project, but very soon you will be able to view all of the veteran graves that I restore. Please return often to view my progress. You may contact me here: david@restorationinpeace.org

If you are so inclined, please join me in this honorable project.
